The event, scheduled to take place on the Red Course at Frilford Heath, was due to take place from September 8-11 but has now been rescheduled for October 13-16.

Jamie Hodges, Head of Challenge Tour, said: “Like many golf courses across the United Kingdom, and indeed Europe, Frilford Heath has been affected by the extreme hot weather and droughts over the summer.

“Following a visit from the European Tour group’s Agronomy Team, the Challenge Tour, Frilford Heath and Tom Hayward, the tournament promoter, agreed to postpone the event in order to allow the golf course time to recover and be presented in the best condition possible.

“We will support Frilford Heath in returning the golf course to its usual high standard and look forward to a successful event in October.”
