Oihan Guillamoundeguy enjoyed a breakout season on the HotelPlanner Tour in 2025 to earn a first promotion to the DP World Tour.

The Frenchman, competing in his second full season on the Road to Mallorca, enjoyed a memorable campaign, winning once and recording eight further top tens on his way to finish fifth on the season-long Rankings.

The highlight of the 21-year-old’s season came at the Irish Challenge at the testing Killeen Castle, where a four-round total of 11 under par saw him seal a three-stroke victory.

After following up his maiden win with a fourth place finish at the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge supported by Finnish Golf Union and a tie for third at The Dutch Futures, Guillamoundeguy was assured of promotion well in advance of the Rolex Grand Final supported by The R&A.

“I played really well this season, and I am really proud of myself,” he said. “I’m ready for next year and hope to make some great things happen next season.

“It was amazing to get my first win on the HotelPlanner Tour and hopefully I will get my first win on the DP World Tour next year or maybe more.”

Guillamoundeguy adds to a strong cohort of French golfers on Golf’s Global Tour, including Martin Couvra, who was one of four 2024 graduates to taste victory on the DP World Tour last season.

Couvra finished the year 19th on the Race to Dubai in his rookie season, with Guillamoundeguy now looking to follow in his best friend’s footsteps as the 2026 season gets under way.

“My best friend Martin Couvra played really well this year on the DP World Tour, and I hope to have a similar season to him,” he added.

“I’m really excited to be playing alongside some of these amazing players. Hopefully I will be able to get some practice rounds with these top guys. I am really looking forward to it.”

The Frenchman made his first start of the season at the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Royal Johannesburg Golf Club where he ended the week in a tie for 46th on six under par.
