The Masters Tournament – the first Major Championship of 2026 – gets under way this week, with a host of former HotelPlanner Tour players teeing it up at Augusta National.
In total, 16 of the 94-man field are HotelPlanner Tour alumni, including 2023 Number One Marco Penge. The Englishman, who will make his first Masters start, earned promotion to the DP World Tour following two victories in the final five events of the 2023 campaign, including at the Rolex Grand Final supported by The R&A. After narrowly keeping playing privileges in his debut season on Golf’s Global Tour, Penge kicked on in 2025, registering three victories to earn PGA TOUR dual-membership. The 27-year-old’s last triumph at the Open de Espana presented by Madrid confirmed his place in the exclusive Masters field.
Dane Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, 2024 Road to Mallorca Number One, also booked his place at Augusta National via the National Open route after sealing his maiden DP World Tour title at the Crown Australian Open in December. The 26-year-old, who will make his Masters Tournament debut this week, is set for his third Major Championship start after teeing it up in the US PGA Championship and U.S. Open Championship last year.
Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan is another from the Class of ’24 set to play the Masters Tournament for the first time after ending 2025 inside the Official World Golf Ranking top 50. Sealing promotion atop the Rolex Grand Final leaderboard, Reitan won his first DP World Tour event at the Soudal Open on his way to finishing eighth on the Race to Dubai. The 28-year-old capped 2025 with a second victory at The Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player and heads to Georgia 49th in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Casey Jarvis, who graduated from the HotelPlanner Tour three years ago, will make his Masters debut after winning back-to-back events on the Race to Dubai this year. The South African claimed his maiden victory on Golf’s Global Tour at the Magical Kenya Open presented by absa before winning his National Open in Stellenbosch the following week, a result that secured his spot in the year’s first Major Championship.
Tom McKibbin is the final HotelPlanner Tour alumni playing Augusta National for the first time after earning promotion to the DP World Tour in 2022. The Northern Irishman’s win at the LINK Hong Kong Open in November booked his spot in the field, with his most recent Major Championship experience coming at The 153rd Open Championship, where he missed the cut at Royal Portrush.
The four rookies will also be joined by a plethora of European Ryder Cup pedigree in Georgia, with Matt Fitzpatrick, Alex Noren, Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton, Robert McIntyre, Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard and Justin Rose all set to tee it up at Augusta National having previously plied their trade on the HotelPlanner Tour.
Five-time Major winner Brooks Koepka began his ascent to the top of the game on the HotelPlanner Tour in 2012, where his first victory at the Challenge de Catalunya was followed by three wins in two months the following year. The American, who has two U.S. Open titles and three US PGA wins to his name, is targeting his maiden Green Jacket and first Major Championship title since 2023.
New Zealand’s Ryan Fox won twice on the Road to Mallorca before going on to claim four DP World Tour titles on Golf’s Global Tour. The 39-year-old, who holds PGA TOUR dual membership, secured his place in this year’s Masters following his triumph at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open.
Aaron Rai, a three-time HotelPlanner Tour winner, rounds out an impressive cohort of former players featuring this week at Augusta National. The Englishman, who won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship last year, earned his spot in the field due to his position inside the Official World Golf Ranking top 50.
The 2026 Masters Tournament will take place from April 9 – 12, 2026.
