Senekal tops Road to Mallorca Rankings after South African Swing

JJ Senekal leads the Road to Mallorca Rankings following the conclusion of the four co-sanctioned events between the European Challenge Tour and the Sunshine Tour at the start of the 2023 season.

The South African has enjoyed a terrific start to the campaign with three top ten finishes, including a maiden Challenge Tour victory at the SDC Open in Zebula Golf Estate & Spa.

Senekal leads the way on 430 points, while countryman Dylan Mostert is 64 points behind in second place. Mostert secured victory at the Nelson Mandela Bay Championship, the fourth and final co-sanctioned event in South Africa.

Adam Blommé sits in third position on 365 points following a second place finish at the Dimension Data Pro-Am and tie for seventh at the SDC Open, 11 points ahead of five-time Sunshine Tour winner Jaco Prinsloo in fourth.

Benjamin Follett-Smith, who won the season opening Bain’s Whisky Cape Town Open, occupies fifth place on 327 points while Frenchman Ugo Coussaud is in sixth.

South African Casey Jarvis surprised many with his impressive start to the season. The 19-year-old finished in a tie for ninth at the Dimension Data Pro-Am before recording a runner up finish at the SDC Open last week to move into seventh position on the Rankings.South African Pieter Moolman, three-time DP World Tour winner Brandon Stone and Italian Lorenzo Scalise make up the top ten.

The Road to Mallorca takes a three-week break following the conclusion of the South African Swing, before heading to India for the Duncan Taylor Black Bull Challenge from March 23-26.
