Adam Wallin has made an encouraging start to life on the HotelPlanner Tour after earning promotion from the Nordic Golf League in 2025.
The Swede has made three appearances already this year, finishing 39th in the season-opening SDC Open before he recorded the best result of his professional career to date last time out in the DP World PGTI Open.
Wallin, who shared the early lead in Delhi, ended the week tied sixth, a result that saw him climb to 33rd in the Road to Mallorca Rankings as he leads the recent crop of satellite tour graduates.
Following three wins last season on the Nordic Golf League, Wallin earned automatic promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour, and having seen fellow countrymen Hugo Townsend, Albin Bergstrom and Tobias Jonsson all graduate to the DP World Tour last year, is hoping to follow in their footsteps as he targets back-to-back promotions.
“I played pretty well in South Africa and just made some silly mistakes that you can make at the beginning of the season,” he said. “But I felt like my game was trending in a positive way.
“I think it’s really nice that you can see the clear pathway. Albin, Hugo and Tobias did that the past two years, so that’s what I’m trying to do this year.
“I’m excited. My career is just getting started, so hopefully I can progress.”
Another satellite tour graduate off to a strong start is Englishman Callum Farr, who sits one spot behind Wallin in the Rankings in 34th. Similarly to Wallin, Farr won three times last season to make sure of his HotelPlanner Tour card, doing so on the Clutch Pro Tour. Farr, who took the opening tee shot of the 2026 season, carded four under par rounds of 67-71-69-68 that week to kick-start his campaign with a tied fifth finish, a result that saw him play his way into the second week of the season in Cape Town.
Sweden’s Tobias Edén graduated alongside Wallin from the Nordic Golf League, and he is the next best of the satellite tour graduates, sitting 59th in the Rankings.
Encouragingly, Eden has made the cut in both starts this term, finished tied 11th in the SDC Open to begin his season in positive fashion.
