2018 will be the 19th successive staging of the event, which last season was played at Izki Golf and was won by France’s Victor Perez.
Prior to that the tournament was staged in La Gomera where in 2016 Nicolo Ravano made history by becoming only the second player in Challenge Tour history to record a 59 - a score that has never been shot on the European or Senior Tours - but it was not enough to propel him to victory as Adrien Saddier prevailed for a maiden win.
