The Englishman enjoyed a fruitful four weeks in South Africa to kick-start his campaign, coming through a play-off in the CIRCA Cape town Open to secure a maiden HotelPlanner Tour.

The 28-year-old, who is playing at Classic Golf & Country Club for the first time, is hoping to carry his form into the fifth event on the Road to Mallorca schedule, and has his sights set on a second promotion to the DP World Tour, having graduated to Golf’s Global Tour in 2023.

“I’ve done a lot of reflection,” he said. “It was a five-week stretch for me in the end as I ended up playing in the Investec South African Open Championship, so the break has given me some time to reflect on it.

“It’s been a nice little break. I feel like I’ve refreshed quite nicely but it feels good to be back out on the course.

“The course is good. I didn’t really know what to expect as I haven’t been here before.

“I’ve played in India a couple of times and the courses are always decent. It’s a nice test, I feel like it’s scoreable in the fairways but they’re also really tight. The fairways are between 18 and 20 yards wide on every hole, so driving is going to be key this week.”

Enefer currently sits second on the Road to Mallorca Rankings but says he won’t let that affect his performances, despite looking at what his maiden win could do to his schedule for the season.

“When you get a bit further into the season, it’s a bit more important but right now, I’m taking each week as it comes and trying to perform the best I can pretty much most weeks,” he added.

“It kind of changes my scheduling. I can maybe afford to take a few weeks off and be a bit more rested so I feel like I can turn up to tournaments and perform my best.

“I feel like last year, and the years I played out on the DP World Tour, if you’re not playing well and you’ve committed to a busy schedule, you kind of have to stick in there and play through it and hope the form comes around, so winning definitely frees me up in terms of that.”

Enefer joins a strong field in India for the co-sanctioned event between the HotelPlanner Tour and the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), which includes PGTI Order of Merit leader Saptak Talwar and two-time DP World Tour winner, Tom Lewis from England.
