One of five new events on the 2010 Challenge Tour Schedule, the Green Challenge will be held at Hirsala Golf in Jorvas, Finland. The spectacular 6,265 metres, par 72 course was designed by David Jones, a Member of The European Tour Board of Directors. He said: “When I first saw Hirsala I thought it would be a wonderful challenge to fit a golf course into such a classic Finnish landscape, and I’m delighted with the result. We have preserved almost all the features which made the area so beautiful and have created a natural and fair course which is built to the most modern of standards, but which still respects the tradition of golf. Courage will be rewarded, but the course can also be played with caution. In this way everyone will enjoy it, which is the true spirit of the game of golf. I believe that as it matures, Hirsala Golf will become one of Finland’s great courses.”
