The Indorama Ventures Open 2026 and the PGTI Open, two co-sanctioned events between the HotelPlanner Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), have been added to the 2026 Road to Mallorca schedule.
The events will take place across back-to-back weeks in March as the HotelPlanner Tour returns to India for the fourth successive year.
The Indorama Ventures Open will take place at Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club from March 12-15 and marks the HotelPlanner Tour’s return to Ahmedabad for the first time since 2013.
The following week, the PGTI Open will see the HotelPlanner Tour return to Classic Golf & Country Club in Delhi for the third year in a row.
With the addition of both events in India, the Road to Mallorca extends to 30 tournaments.
Jamie Hodges, HotelPlanner Tour Director, said: “We’re delighted to be returning to India for two weeks in March, and to continue working alongside the PGTI.
“These events are incredibly important to our schedule, delivering additional playing opportunities for our members, on two fantastic courses.
“The HotelPlanner Tour has a proud record of preparing players for the step up to the DP World Tour, and with tournaments in South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, China, across Europe, and now in India, the 2026 schedule will continue to do just that.”
India first appeared on the HotelPlanner Tour schedule in 2011, with the Gujarat Kensville Challenge taking place at Kensville Golf & Country Club in Ahmedabad. On that occasion, home favourite Gaganjeet Bhullar made history, becoming the first Indian winner on the HotelPlanner Tour.
German Maximilian Keiffer came through a play-off to triumph in the same event the following year, before Shiv Kapur ran out a two-shot victor on home soil the very next year.
India returned to the schedule in 2023, with two events in consecutive weeks, both of which took place at Karnatake Golf Association in Bangalore. Home favourite Om Prakash Chouhan claimed victory in the Duncan Taylor Black Bull Challenge, before Frenchman Ugo Coussaud carded a closing 67 to win by one shot the following week at the The Challenge presented by KGA.
In 2024, Englishman John Parry claimed the first of his three victories on the Road to Mallorca at the Delhi Challenge, with Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen earning a breakthrough win the following week, with both players going on to secure promotion to the DP World Tour at the season’s end.
Last year, Englishman Joshua Berry came through a four-man play-off in the Kolkata Challenge to earn a maiden HotelPlanner Tour victory. Spaniard Quim Vidal picked up his first win of the season in the Delhi Challenge the following week, edging out Berry in a play-off on his way to DP World Tour promotion.
The 2026 Road to Mallorca gets under way next week, with SDC Open at Zebula Golf Estate & Spa, taking place from January 29 – February 1, the first of four co-sanctioned events with the Sunshine Tour in South Africa.
