In the next part of our '2015 in video' series, we look at some of the closest friendships enjoyed by the Challenge Tour players - including Italian duo Matteo Delpodio and Nino Bertasio, English buddies Ryan Evans and Gary Boyd, French friends Sebastien Gros and Clément Sordet, and South African Haydn Porteous chewing the fat with Englishman Toby Tree.
Nino Bertasio and Matteo Delpodio
After Matteo won, we all gained a little bit of inspiration - I started thinking, 'if he did it, why not me?'
Taking some time out ahead of the Foshan Open to learn about the Chinese tradition of dragon dancing, Matteo Delpodio reflects on his maiden Challenge Tour victory at the EMC Challenge Open earlier that month while Nino Bertasio says that it was his compatriot's win that inspired him to come within a play-off of his own breakthrough victory the following week at the Volopa Irish Challenge hosted by Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort.
Haydn Porteous and Toby Tree
For beating you, here is your prize: some fermented maize milk
With great friendship can come great rivalry, and when Haydn Porteous and Toby Tree sat down in Almaty ahead of the Kazakhstan Open, their competitive spirit resulted in a local quiz - and an interesting forfeit for the loser!
Clément Sordet and Sebastien Gros
When you see four Frenchmen last year in the top 15, and you and Thomas looking like you’re going to make The European Tour, it’s a big influence for the rest of us
High-flying Sebastien Gros takes on the role of interviewer as he poses the questions to close friend and clubmate Clément Sordet following the latter's breakthrough success in the Northern Ireland Open in Association with Sphere Global and Ulster Bank - just his fourth tournament since turning professional.
