The evolution of the Northern Ireland Open

A new chapter has begun with the announcement of the ISPS HANDA World Invitational Men | Women, presented by Modest! Golf Management.

The format, which sees men and women compete in separate fields—for equal prize money—within a single golfing event is rapidly growing in popularity and after the successful ISPS Handa Vic Open, the exciting concept arrives in Northern Ireland.

Modest! Golf Management, which was co-founded by international recording artist Niall Horan, returns as presenting sponsor for the third consecutive year. In last year’s event, which was also played at Galgorm Castle Golf Club, Scotland’s Calum Hill came from four shots back on the final day to secure his first European Challenge Tour victory.

The ISPS HANDA World Invitational Men | Women, presented by Modest! Golf Management will mark the seventh consecutive year that the Challenge Tour has stopped at Galgorm Resort & Spa Northern Ireland. This year’s visit will see 156 Challenge Tour members tee it up, battling for the US$250,000 prize fund, which will provide valuable ranking points at a crucial point in the season. While the equal US$250,000 prize fund on offer for the women’s field is sure to provide heated competition all the way to the last shot.
