‘Timing right’ for Mory who earns promotion from HotelPlanner Tour

Félix Mory is ready to test himself on the DP World Tour after winning on his way to promotion from the HotelPlanner Tour in 2025.

The Frenchman has been ever-present towards the top of the Road to Mallorca Rankings in each of the past five seasons, with a win and four other top tens enough to see him end the 2025 12th in the Rankings and with a life-changing card on Golf’s Global Tour for the first time.

Mory, who has had several near misses since gaining full playing status on the HotelPlanner Tour in 2021, believes he is now fully prepared for the DP World Tour after taking learnings from each year that he’s teed it up.

“I’ve spent the last five years on the HotelPlanner Tour,” he said. “Every year being pretty close to getting my card. Maybe, you know, I wasn’t good enough in my first seasons and I still had to learn some stuff.

“I've improved my game and my attitude a lot the last few years. I think the timing is right. I think I'm more ready than the years before to play the DP World Tour.”

Mory became a winner on the HotelPlanner Tour in his debut season, in 2021, before eventually finishing 35th in the Rankings. The following year he would make 14 of 26 cuts, recording two top tens in the process, to finish 41st.

The 31-year-old would find himself in promotion contention again in 2023, racking up six top tens on his way to a career-best 31st in the Rankings.

Mory would better that again in 2024, finishing agonisingly close to promotion in 26th, but returned in 2025 hopeful of going one better.

Through 11 starts of the season, Mory sat 49th in the Rankings, but catapulted himself into promotion contention for a fifth successive year by coming through a play-off to win the Swiss Challenge.

Mory never looked like missing out on promotion from that point, finding form down the stretch with three top ten finishes in the last three events of the season to end the year comfortably inside the graduation places.

“The HotelPlanner Tour is a good school,” he added. “I'll take all my learnings to the DP World Tour and let’s see.

“Let's see how it works, you know. We've seen that in the last years that the guys who made it from this Tour, they are pretty well prepared for the DP World Tour. Everybody is different, but we've had a lot of success.

“The guys graduating from the HotelPlanner Tour have had success on the DP World Tour so that's very motivating.”
