Delhi Challenge: Three to Watch

After a two-week break, the Road to Mallorca returns for the first of back-to-back weeks in India. The Delhi Challenge takes place at Classic Golf & Country Club from March 14-17, and here are three players to keep an eye on…

Form horse - Sam Hutsby

Sam Hutsby

Sam Hutsby has made a bright start to the 2024 Road to Mallorca, making the cut in all three of his Challenge Tour starts to date. After finishing tied 52nd in the season-opener, he then followed it up by finishing tied 13th the following week before a solo second finish at the Dimension Data Pro-Am. Last time out, he finished tied 11th in the Magical Kenya Open on the DP World Tour. The Englishman returned to the winner’s circle in 2023 with victory at the Andalucía Challenge de Cádiz and looks primed to add to that should his current form continue.

Local boy - Aman Raj

Aman Raj

Aman Raj’s experience playing on home soil was evident in 2023, and he’ll hope that familiar surroundings can ensure similar results. This time last year, the 28-year-old finished tied eighth in the Duncan Taylor Black Bull Challenge before improving on that a week later to finish in a share of sixth in The Challenge presented by KGA at Karnataka Golf Association in Bangalore. Raj has started the PGTI season well too, finishing inside the top 15 in both starts in 2024.

The outsider - Daniel Young

Daniel Young

It’s been a consistent start to the season for Scotsman Daniel Young, who has made the cut in all three of his outings on the Challenge Tour this year and has shown signs that his game is trending in the right direction. A tied 23rd finish at the SDC Open is his best finish of the year to date, but he also impressed in the Magical Kenya Open on the DP World Tour the last time he teed it up, finishing in a share of 42nd after being well-placed through three rounds.
