Oosthuizen consolidates position

South African Louis Oosthuizen was in sight of his first European Tour title - and a place in the Masters Tournament - after a brilliant start to his final round at the Open de Andalucia de Golf in Malaga.

One ahead overnight, the 27 year old, who a week ago finished second for the fourth time on the circuit, was four clear following birdies at the first, fourth and fifth.

Momentarily, the gap was five with England's Robert Coles matching his birdie on the fifth to move to 13 under par, at that stage one in front of third placed Richard Finch.

Oosthuizen did three putt the seventh for his first bogey of the day but, with Coles bogeying the next and Finch double-bogeying the ninth, he turned for home four clear.

By then Scot Peter Whiteford and defending champion Soren Kjeldsen had moved into joint second with Coles.
