On the tee: DP World Tour Championship, Dubai

Race to Dubai contenders Bernd Wiesberger and Tommy Fleetwood will play together in the final group when the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai gets under way on Thursday.

Fleetwood and Wiesberger

Leader Wiesberger heads into the final tournament of the 2019 European Tour season with a 723-point lead over closest challenger Fleetwood after recording three victories in what has been a stellar year for the Austrian.

Fleetwood's first victory in 22 months at last week's Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player catapulted him into contention for a second Race to Dubai title and he will bid to keep that momentum going when he tees it up at 12.40pm on day one.

Shane Lowry

Jon Rahm and Open Champion Shane Lowry, who sit third and fourth respectively, begin their challenge at 12.30, while Matthew Fitzpatrick and Rory McIlroy in fifth and sixth get their opening rounds started at 12.20.

Defending champion Danny Willett will be partnered by Christiaan Bezuidenhout when he tees off at 11.15, while Rookie of the Year hopefuls Robert MacIntyre and Kurt Kitayama begin at 11.50.
