The European Tour makes the short trip from Abu Dhabi to Qatar for the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. It’s stage two of the Desert Swing and European Tour Weekly will be on the range to find out the thoughts of the players who are all hoping for success in the desert.

ETW recently met up with Paul Lawrie who will be aiming to win a record third Commercial Bank Qatar Masters title to add to his victories in 1999 and February of last year. Lawrie spoke about his win twelve months ago as well as his incredible 2012 season that saw him finish tenth in The Race to Dubai and beat Brandt Snedeker in the Singles to help Europe retain The Ryder Cup.

Our review comes from the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship and ETW will bring you the best of the action from the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

In Abu Dhabi last week, Paul McGinley was named as the European Captain for the 2014 Ryder Cup at The Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland. ETW spoke to McGinley, who becomes the first Irishman to captain a Ryder Cup Team against the United States, as well as the player’s reactions to the appointment.

Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
