American Josh Habig fired a sparkling eight under par 64 to charge to the top of the Golf Schloss Ebreichsdorf leaderboard on 15 under par with one round to play.

Round three was suspended in Austria due to bad light on Thursday night, but, while half the field had to return on Friday morning to finish round three before embarking on the final round, Habig was sitting pretty at the head of proceedings as he closed in on a place at the Qualifying School’s Second Stage.

Spain’s Ivo Giner produced his own outstanding 66 to move into second place on 13 under, while Argentinean Mauricio Molina matched Habig’s 64 to jump into third spot on 12 under.

The leading 21 players (and ties) will progress to Second Stage from Golf Schloss Ebreichsdorf.
