This week The European Tour heads to Inverness to the stunning Castle Stuart Golf Links for the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open. One of the strongest fields of the year will tee up on Scotland’s Moray Firth coast including nine Major Champions and the world’s Number One golfer Luke Donald. ETW will be on the range with the latest views of the players on the eve of the tournament.
ETW recently met up with last year’s winner, Luke Donald, who picked up his third title of 2011 with a 54-hole victory on The European Tour’s first visit to Castle Stuart. Donald’s final day nine under par 63 was the lowest round of his European Tour career and gave him a four shot winning margin over the field.
Our review this week comes from Paris and the oldest national open in Continental Europe, the Alstom Open de France. ETW will bring you the best of the action from Le Golf National, the course that will stage the 2018 Ryder Cup.
Whilst in Paris European Tour Weekly caught up with our ‘one to watch’ Tommy Fleetwood. Fleetwood became the youngest player to win the Challenge Tour Rankings in 2011 and talks about how life on The European Tour has been so far in his rookie season.
With the 141st Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Anne’s just over a week away ETW has a special report on local final qualifying.
Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
