David Lipsky was on course for a second European Tour victory as he opened up a five-shot lead heading into the closing stages of the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
The American started the day at Leopard Creek Country Club one shot off the lead but turned in 31 to get to 14 under and lead the way from Scot David Drsydale and home favourite Zander Lombard.
Overnight leader Scott Jamieson was then at eight under alongside England's Oliver Wilson but with three par fives to come on the back nine, Lipsky was in complete command.
Lipsky put his approach on the first to two feet to join the lead, while Jamieson did well to get up and down after finding a bunker off the tee and spinning his second off the green.
The leading duo then both took advantage of the par-five second and they were two shots ahead of the rest.
Jamieson missed the green on the third and dropped to 11 under and when Lipsky got up and down from a bunker for par, he led on his own.
Lipsky put his tee-shot on the fifth to six feet to get to 13 under, with Jamieson making a double-bogey after needing two attempts to get out of the sand, and the lead was up to three.
Two putts from off the green on the drivable sixth moved Jamieson back into double figures and he was joined there by countryman Drysdale, who turned in 32.
After holing a very long putt at the fifth, the 43 year old made the most of the sixth and holed from the fringe on the ninth.
Jamieson found some nasty stuff with his second on the eighth to drop a shot and an approach to five feet on the ninth from Lipsky saw him turn in 31 and lead by four.
A bogey on the 11th from Drysdale dropped him alongside Lombard and Lipsky's lead was up to five shots.
Lombard holed an 18-footer on the first and left himself a flick into the sixth for a pair of birdies but bogeyed the seventh and eighth before holing a bunker shot on the tenth.
Wilson achieved his first top ten in four years last week and was on course for his second in a row as he recovered from a double-bogey on the fourth with birdies on the second, fifth, sixth, eighth and 13th in his first 14 holes.
Ben Evans and Pablo Larrazábal were at seven under, a shot clear of clubhouse leader Oliver Bekker, defending champion Brandon Stone - who found water twice on the ninth for a triple-bogey - Adri Arnaus, Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Niklas Lemke.
Australian Deyen Lawson made the second hole-in-one of the season with an eight iron from 167 yards on the 16th.
Having just eagled the 15th, he took the aggressive option to a pin position bringing the water into play and won himself a BMW 850 M.
