Race To Dubai Rankings Leader

Younger brother of fellow professional Edoardo, memorably teaming up with him to win the World Cup of Golf for Italy in 2009. One year later the brothers teamed up again in helping Europe win The Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor before Francesco also formed part of the victorious 2012 side at the Miracle of Medinah. Has the honour of being the only Italian to win his home tournament the Italian Open twice, doing so most recently in 2016. A glittering amateur career featured two Italian Amateur Stroke Play victories and a 2004 triumph in the Italian Match Play. Won his first Rolex Series event at the 2018 BMW PGA Championship, one year after finishing runner-up at Wentworth Club. Following his success at Wentworth, Molinari secured his first PGA Tour title with victory at the 2018 Quicken Loans National when he finished on 21 under par, eight shots clear of the chasing pack. Molinari continued an exceptional year by becoming the first Italian to win a Major Championship when he triumphed at Carnoustie Golf Links in the 147th Open Championship. Now London-based, he has adopted West Ham as his team of choice in the UK’s capital while also supporting Inter Milan.More
