Needed to hole a six foot putt at the last to ensure he finished joint runner-up and duly did so - despite admitting he could not feel his arms - to rise to 16th place in the Rankings. Said he had gone into the week to "enjoy it and try to make a few quid" but finished it having secured a rookie season on The European Tour in 2013. His career as a golfer nearly ended just a month after he turned professional, when car accident left him with injuries that kept him out of the game for two years. Slowly returned to form and came through the Europro Tour in 2011 to earn a full season on the Challenge Tour.
