Claimed the 19th card at the Qualifying School Final Stage after just one year as a professional. Made a strong start to life in the paid ranks to finish fourth in the Alps Tour Order of Merit and secure at least a Challenge Tour card, before making it through the Qualifying School Second Stage and then earning a rookie season on The European Tour at PGA Catalunya Resort. Enjoyed an impressive amateur career, representing Spain from the age of 12 all the way up to senior level and winning the Spanish Amateur Under-18 championship in 2009. Studied at Iowa State University in the USA for two years, but struggled with his game and the foreign culture and decided to return home, where his golf game thrived once more. Is close friends with fellow European Tour player Adrian Otaegui, having played many tournaments together when they were growing up in northern Spain. Cites Sergio Garcia as his golfing hero, and is looking forward to getting to know his compatriot on Tour. Enjoys watching movies with his girlfriend, and is also a keen skier.
