Jimenez plays first and drives down the left into a very similar position to his drive in regulation. Molinari is next to go and finds sand but then Canizares pulls his drive into water. Advantage Jimenez. Canizares drops from the lateral water hazard but his third shot again finds the water just short of the green. Molinari, up close to the bunker face, wedges out to leave another wedge shot to the green. Jimenez has 150 yards to the pin, a little bit down breeze, looks like a 9 iron, he pulls it but avoids the water. Canizares next to play his fifth shot from 135 yards over the water he has already found twice, plays a fine shot to ten feet. Molinari has 95 yards for his third shot. Like Jimenez before him he pulls the shot and he finds the greenside bunker. Jimenez faces a develish chip which he plays well into the bank but the ball runs 10 feet past the hole. Molinari has a nice lie in the bunker, or so it appeared, but no chance of spin on the shot and it ran about 15 feet past, advantage Jimenez again. Canizares lines up his putt for a six, a right-to-lefter that just lacked a bit of pace, he makes his exit from the play-off with a seven. Molinari now has a must make putt for a five. It's an uphill putt and he holes it beautifully. Now Jimenez has a putt across the green from slightly closer. He plays a right-to-left putt that never looks like missing, right in the middle of the hole for a par and Jimenez is the ALSTOM Open de France Champion.
