Boyd to play first, 7 iron from 179 yards, finds the right side of the green 45 feet from the hole. Lawrie from the rough from 172 yards plays a fine shot from a heavy lie and the ball rolls just off the back edge of the green 20 feet from the cup. Hanson, last to play, hits a wedge to the middle of the green 35 feet from the hole. Boyd to putt first for birdie, rolls his putt up the slope and 2 feet from the hole, a good effort. Hanson next, his putt has a look in on the way past and the ball settles just outside Boyd's effort. Lawrie plays a chip and run which hits the hole and goes 4 foot past the cup. Lawrie holes for par. Hanson holes for par. Boyd holes for par. Back to the tee we go.

Second playoff hole: Boyd and Lawrie find the fairway with their fairway woods, Hanson uses his driver again and again finds the fairway. Lawrie to play first from 199 yards finds the front of the green 25 feet from the hole. Boyd from 182 yards finds the right side of the green, he will have the same putt that he faced on the first playoff hole. Hanson from 142 yards finds the top tier of the green and will have an 18 foot birdie putt. Boyd from distance putts up to 2 feet. Lawrie's putt is on line but he leaves it 3 feet short. Hanson from 18 feet holes his birdie putt to win the Czech Open and secure his spot in the European Ryder Cup Team. Congratulations Peter Hanson.
