| Lee Westwood | 7 | |||||
| Luke Donald | 4 |
Donald has the honour and hits a rescue club off the tee as he did in regulation play. And he finds the middle of the fairway. Westwood goes with a five wood and pushes it right into the crowd. Donald too far back to think about going for the green in two. Hits a safe lay up on the fairway. Westwod lays up in a very similar spot. Donald plays first and hits to the back of the green, spinning the ball back to about 5 feet. Westwood has 93 yards and also pitches at the back of the green but his ball spins back and off the side of the green into the water. Westwood drops under penalty and hits a good chip but it slides past the hole. He misses the putt and the stage is left to Donald to take the title, holing for a birdie four to become the 2011 BMW PGA Champion and the new World Number One.
