- Very scenic golf course with panoramic views of the Ochil hills and Glendevon to the West, and the Grampian mountains to the north
- The name of the course changed from the Monarchs Course to the PGA Centenary Course in 2001
- This is the course which will host the 2014 Ryder Cup
