This season will mark the 41st staging on The European Tour of one of the most picturesque and stunning venues in world golf, as the Omega European Masters once again returns to the crisp alpine air of Crans-sur-Sierre GC. In 2011 Thomas Bjorn completed a season hat-trick, and won for the second week in a row after his Johnnie Walker Championship win the week before, with a stunning Sunday 62 that saw him win by four strokes from his nearest competitor Martin Kaymer. This is by no means the lowest score in the final round by a winner of this event though, with England’s Jamie Spence shooting a stunning 60 in 1992 to get into a playoff against Sweden’s Anders Forsbrand that he would eventually win. Proof that stunning scoring is more often than not coupled with equally amazing surrounds at this, one of The Tour’s oldest tournament venues.
