Open Championship logoIrish Open – The Open Qualifying Series - Ireland: Three players, who have not already qualified and who finish in the top ten at the Irish Open, will secure places in The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool from 17-20 July. In the event of a tie, the qualifying place(s) will go to the player with the highest ranking in the Official World Golf Ranking at the start of that week.

Mikko Ilonen completed a wire-to-wire victory as he celebrated his 300th European Tour appearance by winning the Irish Open at Fota Island Resort.

The 2014 Irish Open proved to be another wonderful celebration of golf both on and off the course, with more than 100,000 fans flocking to Fota Island Resort across the week as Finland’s Mikko Ilonen was crowned champion.
