FREE PARK AND RIDE FOR ALL PUBLIC ATTENDING THE EVENT: 
A Park and Ride system has been introduced to help facilitate the flow of traffic in the vicinity and allow spectators ready access to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. 
There will be TWO off site car parks:
DONARD PARK (BLUE) - PARK AND WALK ONLY
NORTHFIELD (YELLOW) - PARK AND RIDE  
DONARD PARK AND WALK (BLUE):
Located at the south end of Newcastle, this will service traffic coming from the Kilkeel direction. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the car park through the town of Newcastle to the event. 
NORTHFIELD PARK AND RIDE (YELLOW):
Located on the Castlewellan Road,  this will service traffic coming from the Belfast, Newry , Banbridge and Castlewellan direction. 
There will be a FREE shuttle bus service to the event every 5 minutes at peak with the journey time taking around 10 minutes, traffic dependent  

Spectators using the Park and Ride shuttle buses will be dropped off at the Castlewellan Road roundabout and there is an onward walk of 5 minutes to the Welcome Pavilion to the Irish Open giving access to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Championship Village and the dedicated ticket collection point. 

The Park and Ride will operate from Tuesday to Sunday as below

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ADVANCE TICKET HOLDERS:
We would encourage all our spectators to make use of the FREE Park and Ride service, however for those who wish to still park as close as possible to the event, there are very LIMITED number of parking spaces adjacent to the Park and Ride Shuttle drop off at a cost of £5 per vehicle per day from Wednesday to Sunday. On site car parking is only available by booking in advance in conjunction with the purchase of advance tickets. 

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC PARKING ON SITE AND ONLY ACCREDITED VEHICLES WITH A VALID EVENT CAR PARK LABEL WILL GAIN ACCESS TO ROYAL COUNTY DOWN GOLF CLUB ITSELF. THESE AREAS ARE RESERVED FOR EVENT STAFF/OFFICIALS/MEDIA/COMPETITORS ETC. 

ALL OTHER VEHICLES WILL BE DIRECTED TO THE PARK AND RIDE OR THE PARK AND WALK.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE AA EVENT SIGNAGE DIRECTING YOU TO THE NEAREST FREE PUBLIC CAR PARK FOR THE IRISH OPEN. DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR SATELLITE NAVIGATION SYSTEM.

ACCESSIBILITY CAR PARKING INFORMATION

There will be a dedicated reserved BLUE BADGE car park bay within the Northfield Park and Ride site. All spectators attending the event with a blue badge should follow event signage to the Public Park and Ride at the Northfield site (Please be aware that there is only one wheelchair space per bus). 

Wheelchair users and those who cannot avail of the FREE public park and ride shuttle scheme should contact our hotline on 1890 252 698 or email tickets@europeantour.com for further arrangements.

It is reminded that blue badge holders will not automatically be admitted access to Royal County Down Golf Club. Any spectator who requires special assistance and parking on site must contact 0800 023 2557 or email tickets@europeantour.com to ensure they are issued with a car park label to access the event.

Translink Coach Services – Book Online
Translink are operating special coach services available to book online at www.translink.co.uk/irishopen.  Coaches will operate Thursday 28 May – Sunday 31 May from the following towns:  Armagh, Portadown, Lurgan, Lisburn, Magherafelt, Cookstown, Dungannon, Bangor, Newtownards, Coleraine, Ballymena, Antrim, Derry~Londonderry, Strabane, Omagh, Larne and Ballyclare.

From Belfast
Translink are operating additional Ulsterbus services between Belfast and Newcastle from Tuesday 26 May – Sunday 31 May.  Services will operate from 06.00a.m half hourly during peak times.

Cairnshill Park & Ride/Share
Free car parking is available at Cairnshill Park & Ride, and this site will be open on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May, specifically for the use of those wishing to travel with Translink to the Irish Open.  Ulsterbus services pick-up and set-down at the Primrose Hill stop on the Saintfield Road.
