• His second European Tour International Schedule victory in his 38th European Tour event.

• Moves to 286,384 points in the Race to Dubai.

• Could move to just inside the top 125 in the Official World Golf Ranking from 222.

• His first European Tour victory since the 2015 Volvo China Open.

• This victory beats his previous best 2016 European Tour performance of tied 16th at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.

• Victory comes in his first appearance in the Lyoness Open powered by Sporthilfe Cashback Card.

• Becomes the first Chinese player to win the Lyoness Open powered by Sporthilfe Cashback Card.

• China becomes the 13th different country to win the Lyoness Open powered by Sporthilfe Cashback Card, since the event was first played in 1990.

• Made European Tour history by becoming the first Chinese player to record multiple European Tour victories.

• Made European Tour history by becoming the first Chinese player to win a European Tour event on European soil. (Lian wei Zhang did win in Wales seven days ago on the European Senior Tour at the SSE Enterprise Wales Senior Open).

• With Li Haotong winning the Volvo China Open this year is the first time China have recorded multiple victories in the same season on the European Tour.

• With Wu winning the 2015 Volvo China Open becomes the first time China have won on European Tour in consecutive seasons.

• Is the first time that two different Chinese players have won in the same European Tour season, with Li Haotong winning the 2016 Volvo China Open.

OTHER FACTS

• The first of his two European Tour victories where he has made up a final round deficit. Jointly led by two shots after 54 holes of the 2015 Volvo China Open.

• Began the final round one shot behind 54 hole leader, Zander Lombard. Becomes the 11th winner this season to make up a final round deficit.

• Becomes China’s fifth European Tour victory.

• Becomes the ninth different Asian player to record multiple European Tour victories.

• Gains his fourth victory as a professional.
