Shane Lowry hopes he can continue that winning feeling in the United Arab Emirates as the European Tour kicks off the second leg of the Desert Swing in Dubai on Thursday.
The Irishman kicked off 2019 with a wonderful wire-to-wire victory at last week's Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA to claim his first win since the 2015 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
The 31 year old moved up to 45th in the Official World Golf Rankings following his fourth career European Tour win and first Rolex Series title, and he is hoping to replicate his fine form when he tees off at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
"I suppose it's been a bit of a whirlwind couple of days," he said. "I'm obviously very happy to have won again.
If I keep playing with a bit of confidence, we'll see what happens - Shane Lowry
"I have really enjoyed the last couple days and I'm going to try and enjoy this week as much as I can.
"The morning after you won when you wake up is pretty nice in that feeling. It's just something that you would like to just hold and keep with you forever. It's been great."
Lowry will be making his first appearance at the Emirates Golf Club in five years and is relishing a return to a course which he believes suits his style of play.
"I haven't played here since 2014 and I'm actually looking forward to getting out and playing," Lowry said.
"It's just a great part of the world. A great place to play golf.
"From what I can remember, it suits a left-to-right shot, which is what I have. If I keep playing with a bit of confidence, we'll see what happens."
Lowry has also hinted at making the three-legged Desert Swing - which consists of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA, Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the recently added Saudi International - a regular occurrence to begin his calendar year.
"I love coming to Dubai. It was nice to come out here," he added.
"I came out on January 3. Myself and Paul Dunne rented a house and my wife and baby came out as well and we did a lot of practise. The weather is perfect.
"We're eating, just chilling and enjoying the day then getting to work. It's been lovely and I can see us definitely doing it again in the future."
