Amundi, Europe’s largest asset management firm, has been confirmed as the new title sponsor of the Open de France from October 17-20, 2019.

The French company has been involved with the event since 2011 and this season reaffirmed its support for the European Tour, becoming a partner of the Honma Hong Kong, the opening event on the 2019 Race to Dubai.

Continental Europe’s oldest national open is set to welcome back some of Europe’s 2018 Ryder Cup heroes for the 103rd edition of the French national open held at Le Golf National, with defending champion Alex Noren and five-time European Tour winner Thorbjørn Olesen confirming their participation in the event.

The Ryder Cup stars will once again be aiming to master the testing Albatros Course, where both triumphed in their Sunday Singles matches last September as Europe defeated the United States 17 ½ - 10 ½ in The 2018 Ryder Cup.

Joining them in the field is the man who led Europe to victory over that memorable week at Le Golf National - 2018 Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn.

In its new date on the 2019 Race to Dubai, the Amundi Open de France rounds off an exciting Autumn swing of historic national opens, following on from the Open de España in Madrid and the Italian Open in Rome.

Alain Berry, Head of Communication at Amundi, said: “The Open de France is one of the most prestigious golf competitions in Europe and we are delighted to step up as title sponsor for 2019 and we are excited to see some of the Ryder Cup stars returning to Le Golf National for the Amundi Open de France.”

Keith Pelley, European Tour Chief Executive, said: “Amundi is a long-term partner of the Open de France and we are delighted they agreed to become title sponsor in 2019.

“The Amundi Open de France is a proud national open that forms part of a strong Autumn swing of events in the Race to Dubai, and we are excited to see Ryder Cup stars returning to Le Golf National a year on from Europe’s memorable victory.”
