A guaranteed $100,000 is at play at the Investec South African Open Championship through the Course Record presented by Nexo.
With no existing course record at Stellenbosch Golf Club, a big prize pot is to be won so long as preferred lies are not in play.
The first player who sets the course record that continues to stand at the close of the competition will claim the money. If the course record is tied, the prize is awarded to the first player to set the record.
The base prize for the season-long award started at US$10,000 but through the opening ten events of the campaign no new course records have been made, meaning the money has rolled over week to week.
This week's co-sanctioned DP World Tour and Sunshine Tour event, which features a 156-player field, is the penultimate event of the International Swing on the 2026 Race to Dubai schedule.
The course record prize pot will reset to $10,000 for next week's Joburg Open.
Nexo, the premier digital assets wealth platform, and the DP World Tour introduced the award in 2025.
Grant Forrest and Marco Penge were the only two players to card course records last season, at the Nexo Championship and Danish Golf Championship respectively, both resulting in two $10,000 awards.
