The Race to Dubai arrives at Wentworth Club this week, with American Billy Horschel making his comeback from injury to defend his title in Surrey.
Held over the West Course, the prestigious event has once again attracted an international array of talent and features a $9 million prize fund and increased Race to Dubai points.
There are 11 members of Luke Donald's 12-strong Team Europe line-up teeing it up, with the build-up to the Ryder Cup at Bethpage ramping up.
The calibre of the field is further illustrated by the presence of 11 Major champions too, including Japanese star Hideki Matsuyama who is making his BMW PGA Championship debut.
From insight into the week’s most-picked players among Fantasy managers, to our ones to watch, we run the rule ahead of Thursday’s deadline to pick your team.
Who are the most picked players?
With the Ryder Cup drawing ever nearer, and the anticipation building as a result, it is perhaps no surprise to see that the 11 members of Team Europe who are teeing it up this week are the most picked players by Fantasy users.
Tommy Fleetwood leads the list, featuring in 80% of teams as he makes his first start since winning his first PGA TOUR title at the Tour Championship last month.
Justin Rose is second at 70%, with Robert MacIntyre third at 64% as Ludvig Åberg and Matt Fitzpatrick, who feature in 50% and 44% of teams respectively, round out the top five.
Who are our ones to watch?
Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.
Favourite - Rory McIlroy
As if the fact he is the highest ranked player in the field is not enough, the World Number Two also boasts an incredible record at this venue. His runner-up finish last year in a play-off was his fifth top ten in as many starts at the BMW PGA Championship. Champion here back in 2014, he would love to win the title for a second time. He may have only made seven appearances on the Race to Dubai so far this year, but after winning his second title of the DP World Tour season at the Amgen Irish Open he is on track to win a seventh Harry Vardon Trophy and close in on Colin Montgomerie's record haul of eight.
Form Horse - Tommy Fleetwood
The Englishman is making his first appearance since winning the FedExCup after ending his wait for a first PGA TOUR title at the Tour Championship last month. It was just reward for an incredibly consistent campaign stateside, that included seven other top tens. Of those, two came back-to-back at the start of the FedExCup Playoffs. He now finds himself at a career-high sixth in the world, and will be hopeful of improving on a record of six top 20s since his debut at this event in 2012. He would certainly be a popular winner if he was to claim his eighth DP World Tour title.
Wild Card - Kiradech Aphibarnrat
The internationally liked Thai makes his return to Wentworth for the first time since 2022. That year saw him lose his DP World Tour card, but he quickly regained it at Q-School - repeating the feat a year later. Prior to then, he had created some fond memories over the Surrey heathland, finishing in a tie for second in 2021 after a closing 64 and tied fifth in 2018. With three top tens so far this season, reaching the DP World Tour Play-Offs is firmly in his sights and a good week here could result in a return to the season-ending DP World Tour Championship for the first time since 2018.

Looking back - Amgen Irish Open
Rory McIlroy came in as the tournament favourite and duly delivered, producing a moment that will live long in the memory as he made an eagle on the 18th to get into a play-off with Joakim Lagergren from which he emerged triumphant. Picked by 7,343 players, he delivered 208 Fantasy points as he became a two-time winner of his national open at The K Club.
It was a good week for our Picks, with Wild Card Lagergren suffering heartbreak 12 months on from winning at the 2006 Ryder Cup venue on the HotelPlanner Tour. Marco Penge, the Form Horse, started well but faded over the weekend as he finished in a tie for 50th.
