Spaniard Miguel Angel Jiménez has confirmed that he will make his 22nd consecutive appearance in the Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre next month.
Always a great fan of the Swiss venue, Jiménez is still seeking his first victory in the event, despite finishing second in 1993 and 2004.
Jiménez has won twice on The Race to Dubai this season, in the other Omega-sponsored event, the Dubai Desert Classic, and the Alstom Open de France, both successes coming after play-offs.
Sadly, the organisers have confirmed that European Number One, Lee Westwood, has been forced to withdraw following the calf injury which resulted in him missing the US PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in order to take a prolonged break from the game in order to recuperate.
