Amundi, Europe’s largest asset management firm, has been confirmed as the new title sponsor of the Open de France from October 17-20, 2019.
The French company has been involved with the event since 2011 and this season reaffirmed its support for the European Tour, becoming a partner of the Honma Hong Kong, the opening event on the 2019 Race to Dubai.
Continental Europe’s oldest national open is set to welcome back one of Europe’s 2018 Ryder Cup heroes for the 103rd edition of the French national open held at Le Golf National, with defending champion Alex Noren confirming his participation in the event.
The Ryder Cup star will once again be aiming to master the testing Albatros Course, where he triumphed in his Sunday Singles match last September as Europe defeated the United States 17 ½ - 10 ½ in The 2018 Ryder Cup.
Joining them in the field is the man who led Europe to victory over that memorable week at Le Golf National - 2018 Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn.
In its new date on the 2019 Race to Dubai, the Amundi Open de France rounds off an exciting Autumn swing of historic national opens, following on from the Open de España in Madrid and the Italian Open in Rome.
