John Bamber, Chairman of the Championship Committee at Royal Portrush Golf Club, hosted a reception with his wife, Gillian, on the eve of the Irish open Pro-Am at his home in Portballintrae on Tuesday night.
The Bambers welcomed guests from The European Tour, the Northern Ireland Executive, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board along with many fellow club members, friends and golfing associates to the function.
Royal Portrush Captain John Moss and European Tour George O’Grady toasted the return of the Irish Open to Northern Ireland for the first time in almost 60 years and wished everyone connected with the event every success during the tournament.
