Thomas Bjørn is looking forward to receiving plenty of support when he goes in search of a maiden win at this week’s Nordea Masters.
Bjørn's season has so far been hampered by injury, but after taking a share of 11th in the BMW PGA Championship a fortnight ago, the Dane has some renewed confidence.
"In the week leading up to Wentworth I had some really good lessons with Victor Gustafsson, and it just started to come together," he said. "I got my swing on the plane I wanted it. I found the slot in my arms again and got them working, and for the first time in a while there were a lot more good shots than bad shots.
"It gives me confidence and belief that I can keep the ball in play and be aggressive."
The 2014 Ryder Cup player begins his quest for a first Nordea Masters title at 1300 on Thursday, alongside Swede Alex Noren and popular Spaniard Miguel Angel Jiménez, who is in fine form after two tied runner-up finishes in recent weeks.
"I’ve been playing well," said the 51 year old. "I’m feeling good and my game is in good shape. I played here last year and liked the course, liked the place.

"The course is very open so the long hitters have an advantage. You still have to do everything else well to win, but whereas I'll be taking a driver and a seven iron, a longer hitter will take driver, wedge."
