The BMW PGA Championship, the flagship event on The 2011 European Tour International Schedule returns to a newly remodeled West Course at Wentworth Club for the 28th consecutive year. Defending the title will be Simon Khan, who produced a remarkable performance to succeed Paul Casey. Khan had only secured his Tour card through Qualifying School the previous November but staged a magnificent final day surge to become the first sponsor's invite to win the tournament. He followed a fine tradition of winners since the inaugural event in 1955, with the roll of honour including Tony Jacklin, Sir Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Seve Ballesteros, Ian Woosnam and Colin Montgomerie. Wentworth Club has been the host venue of the prestigious tournament since 1984, when Howard Clark was crowed champion.
