Bo Jin enjoying dream DP World Tour debut

Bo Jin continued his impressive DP World Tour debut with a second-round 67 on home soil at the 2026 Hainan Classic presented by MAEXTRO.

The 23-year-old from Beijing had five birdies, four of them after the turn, in a bogey-free round on Mission Hills' Vintage Course to reach eight under par for the tournament.

It followed an opening 69 on the Blackstone Course, which came despite a double-bogey seven on the 681-yard 13th, and Jin - who made the cut and finished seven under at last year's Hangzhou Open on the HotelPlanner Tour - was enjoying the occasion.

"It was very good," he said afterwards. "I’m making my DP World Tour debut, so to take 69 and 67 out of two rounds, I am definitely taking that all day.

"My aunt and a couple of her cousins are here this week – they didn’t come out this morning because it was too early but they were walking with me yesterday afternoon for nine holes. I’m just glad to see them out there supporting me, and everybody around. It’s just cool.

"I think it’s about embracing it and enjoying the moment. It’s definitely a big stage – being up there on the leaderboard, making my DP World Tour debut, but I told myself to enjoy it, enjoy the competition.

"I would be lying to myself if I’m not nervous on the opening tee tomorrow, but just enjoying being nervous and under pressure is part of competitive sport."

The dual-course set-up is a new feature of the tournament this year, with last year's inaugural co-sanctioned event staged solely on the Blackstone Course.

Jin said: "Vintage was, not a lot easier, but somewhat easier. I think the wind was a little stronger than yesterday, so that definitely made it harder.

"Vintage is a little shorter, there are a couple more gettable holes – most of the par fives are gettable. It’s definitely a little easier but I still think there’s a challenge to it as well.

"Maybe a little bit off the tee (to work on). Today there were a couple that got a little left and out of hand, but overall, to shoot 67, bogey-free, you should be pretty happy with your game and just rest up and get ready for the weekend."
