Rafa Cabrera Bello is hoping to round off a successful season by winning the third European Tour title of his career at the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.
The Spaniard has had a productive year, winning two and a half points from his three matches at his first Ryder Cup and securing top-three finishes at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the WGC-Dell Match Play.
One thing missing from Cabrera Bello's stellar campaign is a trophy, but with just two shots separating him and overnight leader Victor Dubuisson at Jumeirah Golf Estates, the 32 year old is in with a chance of tasting victory for the first time since 2012 on Sunday.
Beginning the day seven strokes behind halfway leaders Sergio Garcia and Francesco Molinari, Cabrera Bello carded ten birdies and a single bogey on his way to a brilliant 63 on Saturday - the lowest round of the week so far.
It's been a very good year for me. I have pretty much accomplished every single goal, many of my childhood dreams, as well - Rafa Cabrera Bello
Cabrera Bello will go into the final day in a share of fifth place on 11 under alongside Lee Westwood and Francesco Molinari.
He was thrilled with his performance and set his sights on finishing the season in style.
"Obviously I knew I needed a low one to catch up with the leaders," said Cabrera Bello. "I didn't expect something this low.
"I have played other times on this course and I have posted really low rounds here, as well, so I know how to do it. I just played great today, and the putts dropped in.
"It's been a very good year for me. I have pretty much accomplished every single goal, many of my childhood dreams, as well.
"So I'm just trying to get the third win, and I'm really happy to have put myself in a position hopefully to do so tomorrow."
