European Challenge Tour members Darren Fichardt, Douglas McGuigan and Hennie Otto have all qualified for the 137th Open Championship, to be held at Royal Birkdale in July.
The trio all finished in the top four places at the International Final Qualifying, played on the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington’s East Course.
Fichardt trailed winner Joshua Cunliffe by one shot, with Otto and McGuigan – who recently changed his nationality from Scottish to South African – a further three shots back.
South African Fichardt posted the lowest round of the day, an eight under par 63, to finish on 11 under par for the two day tournament.
