Open Champion Darren Clarke will also aim to become King of the Mountains next month after confirming his participation in the Omega European Masters.
Clarke, who captured the Claret Jug at Royal St George’s, will compete at Crans-sur-Sierre for the 13th time.
He has finished third on two occasions in 1998 and 2000. Clarke joins
World Number two Lee Westwood, World Number Three Martin Kaymer and US Open Champion Rory McIlroy.
Also in the field are the Molinari brothers, the young prodigy Matteo Manassero and the current European Masters Champion, Miguel Angel Jiménez.
