Course Info

General

The course is approximately 7,200 yards, but does not play that long due to the altitude (6,000 feet) - the ball flies about 10% further than normal due to the high altitude.

Houghton is a tree-lined parkland course, and driving well will be very important. The course is very green, so not much run on the ball.

There is water on eight holes but it doesn't really come into play much, except on the tee shot at the 4th hole.

Grasses

Greens - Bent Grass

Fairways - Kikuyu

Fairways

Rough

Semi-rough - 30mm

Maintained rough - 4 inches
