Craig Parry Wins Heineken Classic to Climb to World Number 38

Australian Craig Parry defeated Nick O'Hern at the fourth hole of a sudden-death play-off to win the Heineken Classic at Royal Melbourne after the pair finished tied on 14 under par 270. Parry climbs 27 places to World Number 38 while O’’Hern jumps from number 47 to a career high of 30th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Phil Mickelson, who started the last round with a four-shot lead, finished with a three-under-par 68 for a 17-under total of 267 and a five-shot victory at the FBR Open in Arizona. Scott McCarron and Kevin Na tied for second place on 12 under at 272. Mickelson jumps past Retief Goosen into fourth place in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Richard Sterne of South Africa claimed his maiden Sunshine Tour victory at the Nashua Masters at the Wild Coast Sun Country Club. His one stroke win Grant Muller and Titch Moore helped his jump into the World Top 200 at Number 175.
