Daly, Langer and Norman to Play BMW International Open

John Daly will return to the Golfclub München Nord-Eichenried, from August 29 – September 1 to defend his BMW International Open title.

The 36 year old American entered the record books in Germany last year, his final total of 27 under par 261 being the lowest winning score on the 2001 European Tour International Schedule.

Having confirmed his Membership of The European Tour at the beginning of the year, the 1995 Open Champion has already played five tournaments on the 2002 European Tour International Schedule and his return to Germany will be keenly anticipated.

Daly will face a stiff challenge in his quest to become the first player in the 14 year history of the tournament to win in successive years however, other world-class players confirmed for the event being Bernhard Langer and Greg Norman.

Germany’’s favourite golfing son Langer has won every European Tour event on German soil at least once, apart from the BMW International Open, and he will be eager to put that statistic right after four second place finishes.

Two time Open Champion Norman first played in the BMW International Open at Golfclub München Nord-Eichenried two years ago where he finished in a tie for 32nd place and victory would be his 15th on The European Tour International Schedule.
