Daly Wins Korean Open

Former Open Champion John Daly won his first title since the 2001 BMW International Open when he captured the $400,000 Korean Open.

Daly closed with a four under par 68 for a six under par total of 282, picking up seven birdies at the 7,042-yard Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in South Korea.

Thailand’s Thaworn Wiratchant shot five under 283, followed by Scotland’s Simon Yates at four under 284 total. The LPGA’s Laura Davies had joined the tournament, but missed the cut by four strokes after shooting an 11 over par 155, as did England’s Justin Rose with rounds of 76 and 77.
