Day 1 in Numbers: KLM Open

Day one of the KLM Open was shortened abruptly by heavy rain storms this afternoon but not before half the field were able to finish. Here's a look at the back facts and figures from Thursday's play.

Joost Luiten ahead of the opening round of the 2017 KLM Open

66- Low score of the day from Bernd Wiesberger and Richard Finch, both carding opening scores of five under par.

1,906- Places in the Official World Ranking separate Wiesberger (34) and Finch (1,940).

2- Wiesberger's finish here last year, where he finished three shots behind Luiten. The Austrian is now 28 under par for his last nine rounds in the Netherlands.

6- A win this week would move Wiesberger into the top six in the Race To Dubai rankings presented by Rolex. His highest ever finish is ninth.

100- Weeks since Finch last shot a round of 66 or better on the European Tour, dating back to the final round of the 2015 British Masters at Woburn.

72.55- Average score on a difficult opening day at The Dutch. Nearly two shots higher than the average score of 70.76 last year.

2- Amateurs were successful in the Beat The Pro challenge on the 14th hole.Fleur Vierhout andLauren Hillebrand were able to hit their shots inside the pros on Thursday.
