Defending Champion Adam Scott joined his European Tour colleague Lee Westwood in a four way tie for second place on seven under par 135 at the US PGA Tour’’s Booz Allen Classic, with Ernie Els just a stroke behind the Australian and the Englishman.

Scott and Westwood carded respective second round scores of 67 and 69 to join Australian Steve Elkington and first round leader round leader Matt Gogel of the USA in a tie for second – two behind another Australian, Robert Allenby, who posted a second round 65 to move to nine under par and into a two stroke lead at the Conressional Country Club.
