DID YOU KNOW - BMW MASTERS
• The BMW Masters will be the third of the four events which make up the Final Series in 2015.
• The BMW Masters will be the third BMW sponsored event on The European Tour International Schedule in 2015. This follows the BMW PGA Championship and BMW International Open.
• The quality of the field is highlighted by the fact there are four Major Champions, seven winners of WGC events, three European Tour Number Ones and 24 of the 2015 winners competing. From the 78 man field, 57 have tasted victory on The European Tour.
• In 2012, the first year of the BMW Masters, this tournament became the sixth different European Tour event to be sponsored by BMW.
• The BMW Masters is the final BMW event of the 2015 season. Overall the German car company have sponsored a European Tour event every year since 1989, 27 in all.
• Defending champion Marcel Siem will look to make the first successful defence of his career. Should he be successful it would be his fourth consecutive European Tour season with a victory. This would move him level with Justin Rose, in joint second place in the category of most continuous winning years by current players on The European Tour. Louis Oosthuizen, is the leader with five.
• The tournament is to be played at Lake Malaren Golf Club for the fourth year in a row. The facility has two courses and the one being used is the Masters Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 2011.
